Description
This is an authentic konkani recipe made with Horse gram (Kulitu) .
Ingredients:
- Kulitu -1 Cup ,soaked overnight and then pressure cooked(6 whistles)
- Grated coconut- 1/2 Cup
- Rice Flour -1 teaspoon (for thickness)
- Curry leaves 1 strand
- Hing(Asafoetida) a pinch
- 10 cloves of garlic
- Red chillies 6-7
- Tamarind
- Oil 1 tea spoon
- Salt
Method:
- Grind together coconut, tamarind,fried red chillies, hing, rice flour.Grind to a fine paste .
- Now in a vessel pour the ground paste, add the boiled Kulit/Horse gram.
- Add salt to taste and give it a boil for 5 to 7 mins, remove from heat.
- Heat oil, add crushed Garlic, when it turns golden brown remove from heat and add the seasoning to the dish.
- Serve hot along with rice .
