Description:
Roolav in konkani is nothing but Sooji and Dodaka/Bhakri is something between a dosa and rotti. Its batter is not poured like dosa nor it is rolled like chapathi, instead it is patted on a dosa tawa. It is reallt intant and tasty for a nice morning breakfast. So lets check the recipe of Roolava Dodaka or Roolava Bhakri.
Ingredients:
3 cups dry roastes Bombay rawa,
half cup dry roasted Bansi rawa,
half cup curd,
3 green chilly paste,
half cup of finely chopped coriander leaves,
Salt to taste,
1 teaspoon sugar.
Method:
- Mix all the above items in a mixing bowl.
- Heat a Dosa pan/tawa, take a handful portion of the mixture into your hand, place it on the tawa,dip your fingers into cold water and pat it so that it spreads to for a circular shape .
- Pour 1 or 2 teaspoon of oil .Simmer of two minutes. Roast both the sides of the Dodaka .
Serve with some butter and Puddi Chutney.
